extraordinaire, Max Groove. A Missouri State Jazz Treasure. He
is one of the pioneers of the smooth jazz style that has dominated
the airways and captivated countless listeners for years.
His upcoming release "Night Owl" promises to take the
world by storm with it's urban smooth jazz sound while showcasing

song now. The recently tested airplay of two of his cuts on KMJK
Magic 107.3 "Jazz'n to the Max" radio jazz show, hosted
by Max Groove, have sent listeners responding with an eagerness
to hear more.
Released in May of 1989, "Midnight Rain" cracked the
Top 10 of the contemporary jazz airplay charts and climbed to
#14 in Billboard Jazz. "Maximum Groove" released in
May 1990, drew rave reviews from the critics and reached #16 in
Billboard Jazz. Album # 7, "Aquafrio" released in early
1992 climbed the charts satisfying all Max Groove fans and with
great anticipation album #8, “Maxed Out”, was released
in 1996. His first ever acoustic piano CD titled "Solo"
was released in 2000. The 2001 release “It’s A Beautiful
Day” on Orpheus/EMI Music, combined the intimacy, passion,
and focus of a classical composer/artist with the sensitivity
and moving melodies of the great eras of song writing.

Over the years, national tour appearances with performers such
as Joe Sample & the Crusaders, the Temptations, Peabo Bryson,
Count Basie, Chaka Khan, Jeff Lorber, Ronnie Laws, Joan Armatrading,
Russ Freeman and the Rippingtons, Marcus Miller, and many other
greats have added to the reputation of "The Groove".
